My father moved us from Chicago to rural Iowa. Surrounded by farms, a farmer hired my brother and me to work in his soybean field. We ended up having a mud ball fight, and my father got a call to take us home. That day taught me accountability, responsibility, and an appreciation for farming. Farmers work hard when no one is watching, they don’t punch a clock, and they are accountable to each other, their families, their community, and the environment.

The first 20 years of my career in the industry was spent in the Food Technology area of the supply chain, working with CPG manufacturers, Distributors and Operators in the Food Away From Home market. Since Tibersoft joined the Cultura in 2017, I've had the opportunity to appreciate how we can serve the industry in a larger context. And how we can solve important industry challenges together with other Cultura companies and our industry partners.

On a trip to the Amazon rainforest our hosts made fresh cold soups each day with local fruits and vegetables - the majority of which I had never heard of or tasted. It was an extraordinary experience that opened my eyes to the vastness what our earth has to offer.
