Spotlight: Tim Fischer, Aeros
Tim Fischer serves as the General Manager of Aeros, a company dedicated to providing ERP and Flock Management software for the egg and poultry industry. He’s been with Aeros for over two years, and during that time, his role has grown into something that goes beyond work—it’s become a personal mission. With over 35+ years in business leadership positions, he explains how joining Aeros gave him a new opportunity: the chance to be part of an industry that helps feed the world.
How I Got Here
Throughout my career, I’ve held leadership roles in several companies, working primarily in software development, technology, and security. My focus has always been on people—developing talent and creating strong, effective teams. While much of my earlier work was about protecting businesses and consumers, joining Aeros gave me something different: the chance to be part of an industry that helps feed the world.
Getting to know the people behind that mission—the producers, farmers, and families working every day to raise and deliver food—has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. These are some of the most genuine, hard-working people you’ll ever meet, and they care deeply about the quality and integrity of the food they produce.
My Role at Aeros
As General Manager, I wear many hats. I lead our research and development efforts, support our customer success teams, and serve as the business unit leader. I’m also lucky to be part of a larger network—Cultura Technologies— a collaborative of people, businesses, and technologies that work together to support the broader food value chain.
The collaboration we have with our Cultura companies is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Over the past two years, we’ve worked with more than six other teams within Cultura to build shared tools that make it easier for customers to get support, find answers, and use our products more effectively. These joint efforts have also helped all of us learn and grow together.
Facing the Challenges of Feeding the World
Working in Agri-Food comes with a deep sense of responsibility. Every day, our customers face growing pressure—whether it’s new regulations, rising costs, or the challenge of getting products to market efficiently. It’s our job to support them with tools and systems that help them manage their operations and make the most of the resources they have.
A big part of that support comes down to data—helping our customers make sense of what they’re seeing in their farms and facilities. Whether it’s compliance reporting, traceability, or logistics, we aim to give them the information they need when they need it.
There are still a lot of manual processes out there, especially in remote areas. One of my personal goals is to continue helping customers simplify and connect those systems so they can focus more on their work and less on managing paperwork and processes.
Looking Ahead
What excites me most about the future isn’t just the work we’re doing at Aeros—it’s the sense of community and shared purpose I’ve found here. Cultura fosters a level of collaboration that I’ve never seen before. We’re not just individual companies—we’re part of a greater whole, working together to support the full food production chain.
Over the next five to ten years, I see Aeros continuing to grow and build even stronger connections with our Cultura partners. From agri-inputs to primary production, processing, and distribution, I believe we have a chance to make a real impact by working side by side with others who share our values.
