Attending a dairy event in Ireland for the Agriculture and Food Development Authority gave me the opportunity to hear first-hand about the challenges our customers are facing today & in the future & understand how we can support them to navigate those challenges. It’s a perfect example of why working in Finance at Cultura is about much more than crunching numbers; understanding the industry & our customers is essential.

Too many to pick just one. Standing inside the largest grain receiving facility in Nebraska the week before it went live. Walking through Almería's "sea of plastic" — the greenhouse expanse that quietly supplies most of Europe's vegetables. Watching a 100-year-old coffee trading house in the Netherlands at work, still running on craft and instinct after a century in business. Honestly, any day I get to sit with the clients using our technology to run the most complex industry on earth is a good one.

My introduction to the agriculture industry came through John Deere when I joined as a Financial Analyst in 2005. As part of orientation and onboarding, I visited the Moline headquarters and had the opportunity to operate some of the heavy agricultural equipment. Driving those massive machines was a memorable experience that has stayed with me ever since.
