Congratulating Rich Reynertson on his Retirement — and Welcoming Tran Ly as Cultura’s Portfolio Manager

Rich Reynertson is retiring after 13 years with Cultura
After more than 13 years with Cultura, Rich Reynertson is retiring — and we want to take a moment to celebrate the extraordinary mark he’s left on Cultura, our people, and the agri-food industry we all care so deeply about.
Rich joined Cultura in 2012 as Managing Director of the Grains and Oilseeds division, arriving with an extensive background in agriculture vertical software — twelve years as President of Feed Management Systems and, most recently before joining, Managing Director of Cargill Animal Nutrition. A physics graduate, Rich began his career as a software engineer — a foundation that shaped his lifelong belief in technology’s power to strengthen the world’s most important industry.
Over the next decade, Rich grew through roles including Chief Operating Officer before being named Cultura President in the spring of 2022. Under his leadership, Cultura set out to evolve the way it works with agri-food customers, partners, and suppliers, forming collaborative groups with key industry players to better the entire agri-food community. His now-signature philosophy said it best: “To enhance the world’s most important industry, we must work in circles, rather than rows.”
That vision came to life at our APEX summit in Frankfurt, where Rich unveiled Cultura’s refreshed brand and a renewed vision for the portfolio’s future. Throughout, he kept Cultura focused on what matters most: building technology that supports the entire food supply chain, from seed to table.
In his own farewell, Rich reflected on reaching “a bittersweet crossroads” — a moment to step aside and let the next generation lead. He wrote of cherishing the many milestones reached together, and promised to be “the strongest cheerleader” for the team’s continued growth. That generosity of spirit and passion for the industry is exactly how everyone who worked with him will remember him.
Now Rich turns his attention to family, friends, hobbies, and new adventures — including, in his words, a bit of pickleball. On behalf of everyone across the portfolio: thank you, Rich, for making our time together so meaningful. We’ll be cheering you on.
Welcoming Tran Ly as Portfolio Manager
As Rich begins this next chapter, we’re delighted to announce that Tran Ly will step in as Cultura’s Portfolio Manager.

Tran Ly, Cultura’s new portfolio manager
Tran brings a career defined by curiosity, range, and a willingness to grow from every opportunity. She studied mathematics and computer science before beginning her career as a software developer at Wynne Systems, where for over 11 years she advanced through a range of R&D roles, including team lead and development manager. When Volaris acquired Wynne Systems in 2012, she became Director of R&D, later taking on the challenge of Chief Operating Officer before becoming General Manager in 2018.
In 2022, she moved into a Group Leader role — a hybrid of group leadership and integration management, working closely with newly acquired businesses to help them adapt to Volaris. As she puts it, rather than assimilating companies into a single standard, the goal is to help them maintain their identities, recognizing that acquired businesses are already good at serving their markets.
Tran is known for her financial acumen, her commitment to developing talent, and a leadership philosophy rooted in respect for both businesses and the people within them.
Please join us in wishing Rich a joyful, well-earned retirement, and in welcoming Tran as she leads Cultura into its next chapter.
